The Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board will consider the following three actions:

1. Adopt a resolution recommending to the Planning Commission, endorsement of the Inner Mission North Cultural Resource Survey (California Department of Parks and Recreation Survey Forms (DPR 523A, 523 B, 523D and 523L) and;

2. Endorse the document entitled - Phase Two: Inner Mission North Cultural Resource Survey Summary Report and Revised Context Statement.

At this time, members of the public may address the Landmarks Board on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Landmarks Board except agenda items. Public comment will be taken on each agendized item. Each member of the public may address the Landmarks Board for up to three minutes. If it is demonstrated that comments by the public will exceed 15 minutes, the President or chairperson may continue Public Comment to another time during the meeting.

274 BRANNAN STREET, The Hawley Terminal Building, north side between 1^st and 2^nd Streets. Assessor's Block 3774, Lot 73 - Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness under Section 1006.2 of the Planning Code to install a WTS facility consisting of seven antennas on the rooftop of a contributory building to the South End Historic District. Built in 1924, the reinforced concrete building is six stories and approximately 72-feet tall. Originally used for public storage, the building is now primarily used as a telecommunications facility. The Hawley Terminal Building has a "C" rating from San Francisco Architectural Heritage and has a California Historic Resources Status Code of 3D. It is within an SSO (Service / Secondary Office) District and a 50-X Height and Bulk District. (Note: Continued from the May 5, 2005 Landmarks Board Hearing)

31 ALTA STREET, south side of Alta Street between Sansome and Montgomery Streets. Assessor's Block 106, Lot 18 - Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness under Section 1006.2 of the Planning Code to add a parking space, gate and, to alter entrance stairs and non-historic brick wall to a three-story, wood frame, single-family residential building built in 1852. The property is a Contributory/Compatible building in the Telegraph Hill Historic District, is one of San Francisco's oldest residences, and is listed in the City's 1976 Architectural Survey. It is zoned RH-3 (House, Three-Family) District and in a 40-X Height and Bulk District.

7. 2002.0271L (M. SNYDER: 415/575-6891)

150 OTIS STREET, The Juvenile Court and Detention Home, north side between McCoppin Street and Duboce Avenue. Assessor's Block 3503, Lot 7 - Request for Landmark Designation under Sections 1004.1, 1004.2 of the Planning Code. Constructed in 1913-1916, this nine-story building was originally used as the City's Juvenile Hall and Detention Home and was most recently used for the offices for the City's Department of Human Services. The subject property is zoned P (Public) and is within a 105-E Height and Bulk District. Consideration to initiate landmark designation, adopt a resolution initiating and recommending landmark designation to the Planning Commission, the Juvenile Court and Detention Home, as Landmark No. 248.

Preliminary Recommendation: Adopt resolution initiating and recommending approval of the landmark designation to the Planning Commission

Consideration of whether the Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board (Landmarks Board) should revise its adopted policy establishing annual lists of Landmarks Board sponsored landmark nominations if demolition is imminent. The Landmarks Board will consider whether or not to alter its policy to provide that in cases where a property is under threat of immediate demolition, the Landmarks Board may vote to consider the building for landmarking under specified conditions, regardless of whether it is on a current work list.

CELL PHONE AND/OR SOUND-PRODUCING ELECTRONIC DEVICE USAGE AT HEARINGS

Effective January 21, 2001, the Board of Supervisors amended the Sunshine Ordinance by adding the following provision: The ringing of and use of cells phones, pagers and similar sound-producing electronic devices are prohibited at this meeting. Please be advised that the Chair may order the removal from the meeting room of any person(s) responsible for the ringing or use of a cell phone, pager, or other similar sound-producing electronic devices (67A.1 Prohibiting the use of cell phone, pager, or other similar sound-producing electronic devices at and during public meetings).
