This event will kick-off the public outreach program for the draft Preservation Element and provide an opportunity for discussion with Planning Department staff, preservation professionals, and Historic Preservation Commission members. The Historic Preservation Commission reviewed the draft Preservation Element at its June 18, July 16, and August 20, 2014 regularly scheduled hearings.
The Preservation Element will become part of the City’s General Plan. The document will be revised based on public feedback. A final draft will be prepared for environmental review pursuant to CEQA. At the conclusion of the environmental review, the final policy document will be presented for endorsement by the Historic Preservation Commission and the Planning Commission.
