A. SPECIAL CALENDAR
COMMISSION SECRETARY POSITION – The Commission Secretary Search Sub-Committees of both the Planning and Historic Preservation Commissions will meet to discuss and identify steps to take to fill the Commission Secretary position once the current position becomes vacant in the fall. The joint sub-committees could consider, among other related issues, the following: necessary criteria for the Commission Secretary position; identification of minimum required and desired qualifications; identification of job duties and future structure of the position; amount of employee time necessary to serve each Commission; discuss Planning Department budget issues as related to the position; review and consider a draft job announcement; and identification of desired outreach protocol. Also, prior to consideration of the above list of issues, the joint sub-committees should consider electing a Chair to preside over this and any future meetings.
