THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY PRESIDENT CHASE AT 11:14 AM
STAFF IN ATTENDANCE: John Rahaim - Planning Director, Alicia John-Baptiste – Chief of Staff, Tim Frye – Preservation Coordinator, and Linda Avery – Commission Secretary
A. SPECIAL CALENDAR
COMMISSION SECRETARY POSITION(S) – Discussion and consideration of possible action by the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) to identify steps to take to fill the Commission Secretary position for the HPC once the current position becomes vacant in the fall.
SPEAKERS: None
ACTION: The Commission approved sharing one Commission Secretary with the Planning Commission; established a sub-committee (Richard Johns, Diane Matsuda, and Karl Hasz) to work with the Planning Commission (or sub-committee of the Planning Commission), the current Commission Secretary, Department staff, and DHR to develop a job description that requires, among other things, dedicated balance to the needs of both commissions, and establish other priorities of the position.
