A. SPECIAL CALENDAR
COMMISSION SECRETARY POSITION(S) – Discussion and consideration of possible action(s) by the Historic Preservation Commission and the Planning Commission to identify steps to take to fill the Commission Secretary position(s) once the current position becomes vacant in the fall. The joint commissions could consider, among other related issues, the following: whether to continue sharing one Commission Secretary; necessary criteria for each Commission position; identification of minimum required and desired qualifications; identification of job duties and future structure of the position(s); amount of employee time necessary to serve each Commission; discuss Planning Department budget issues as related to the position(s); review and consideration of a draft job announcement; identification of desired outreach protocol; establishment of a working group.
