PUBLIC COMMENT
Greg Miller: Thanked the Board for recommending the Music Concourse for a landmark designation, however he is confused with the language used and how it fits together into a finalized language.
Kathy Howard: She is concerned with the language used under the conditions in which trees can be removed from the Music Concourse area.
Margaret Mori: She is confused with the process for the Music Concourse landmark designation. Would like to see the finalized wording for the Music Concourse.
Rich Hillis: He provided the Board Members with the settlement agreement regarding the Emporium plaque. He thanked the LPAB, the developers and the Historic Committee for their input regarding the plaque. Requested the Board to agendize a hearing to appoint a member from the LPAB to sit on the advisory committee for the Mayor's Office of Economic Development.
Gee Gee Platt: She provided the Board with copies of the settlement talking point's regarding the Emporium plaque.

Neil Hart, Chief of Neighborhood Planning and Preservation Coordinator:
i He attended the California Preservation Foundation 30th Annual Conference held in Riverside, California, which was very educational.
i The landmark designation for 900 Innes will be heard tomorrow by the Planning Commission.
i The landmark designation for the Music Concourse will be heard by the Planning Commission on June 23rd.
i He provided an update status on the LPAB minutes.

i He announced there will be a weekend photo exhibition of the San Francisco oldest Fire House which is located at 1152 Oak Street on May 21-22nd.

i He is interested in inviting someone from the Department of Building Inspection to discuss their procedures for processing/reviewing of Certificate of Appropriateness from the LPAB.

835 MARKET STREET, The Emporium Building. Review and comment on the final language for placing a commemorative plaque on the old Emporium Building as required per Planning Commission Motion No. 15949. Condition of Approval No. 4C required: (1) the project sponsor to erect a plaque in a prominent location along Market Street describing the history of the Emporium Building, its uses, its architect, and its architecture; (2) the plaque to be prominent and easily read by visitors to the project; and (3) the final language and appearance of the plaque to be coordinated by the Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board. The project sponsor will also give an informational presentation on the replacement of the glass in the restored dome.

3301 LYON STREET, Palace of Fine Arts, between Bay and Jefferson Streets. Assessor's Block 916, Lot 2 - Informational Presentation to discuss the Recreation and Parks Department's proposal to rehabilitate and restore the Rotunda, the Colonnade, Lagoon landscape and the Peristyle of the Palace of Fine Arts with a three-phase project. The proposed project is in conjunction with the Maybeck Foundation and stakeholders in the community and is in close coordination with the work of other private and public entities to provide restoration as closely as possible to the spirit of the original design. The subject property was designated City Landmark No. 88. It is zoned P (Public) District and is in an Open Space (OS) Height and Bulk District.

The subject property is a two-story; commercial building that was constructed in circa 1900 and is a contributory building within the Northeast Waterfront Historic District. It is zoned C-2 (Community Business) District and in a 84-E Height and Bulk District.

The subject building was constructed in 1925, and was clad in a concrete exterior at some point in its history. The subject facade was re-clad in brick in 1984 under a previous Certificate of Appropriateness. The subject property is located in a C-2 (Community Business) Zoning District and a 65-A Height and Bulk District.
