- In response to public comment - the Music Concourse is being reviewed by Tina Tam.
- Reported that 938-942 Market Street was before the Land Use Committee. It was stated that with the exception that the Board finds that the proposed prject in its entirety, including the penthouse addition, will have special architectural and aesthetic interest and value, as opposed to the penthouse addition itself having historic merit, and that the Board finds the rehabilitation, including the penthouse addition, will be consistent with the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Structures.
- Landmark designations of the James Lick Baths, the Mission Carnegie Library and MUNI Forest Hill Station were heard before the Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Maxwell initiated landmark designation of 900 Innes Avenue. Landmark Designation of 150 Otis Street will be heard at the Planning Commission on October 7, 2004.
- The September 15th Landmarks Board hearing will be cancelled).

Discussion and comment on the American Institute of Architects Resource Committee's Historical Policies dated January 28, 1997, sent to the Department of Building Inspection, regarding the use of the State Historical Building Code and Treatment of Qualified Historic Buildings after Damage in National Events such as Earthquake, Fire, etc.. The Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board will consider writing a letter to the Department of Building Inspection with their comments on the Historical Policies.

1401-1436 MARKET STREET, south side between 10th and 11th Streets. Assessor's Block 3507, Lots 39, 41 and 42 - Request for Section 106 Review - The Mayor's Office of Housing (MOH) has recently recommended federal funding for the Tenth/Mission/Market Streets Mixed-Use Project (1404-1436 Market Street), which includes demolition of all buildings on the project site and construction of an office tower with ground level retail and two apartment towers containing affordable and market rate housing with ground level retail. The undertaking is eligible for Federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Section 8 Program. At this time, MOH is seeking comments on the Findings of Effect. The Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board will, as a consulting party in the Section 106 review process, review and comment on the Findings of Effect, as described in the letters dated April 30, 2004 and June 10, 2004.

1 JONES STREET, The Hibernia Bank Building, Landmark No. 130, northwest corner of McAllister Street. Assessor's Block 349, Lot 3 - Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install a small security fence around the front entry steps, to a two-story, steel-frame, granite-clad Beaux-Arts bank building. The project is zoned C-3-G (Downtown General Commercial) District and is in an 80-120-T Height and Bulk District.
