                    i          Thanked Neil Hart for his work on the Survey.
                    i          Welcomed new Board Members, Theresa Picon
                    i          Landmark designation of 128 King Street has been signed by the Mayor. All is invited to a dedication ceremony, July 3, 2002, 10:00 a.m.
                    i          Board Member Jonathan Pearlman has been appointment to the Architectural Review Committee.

                              170 FELL STREET & 135 VAN NESS AVENUE. Consideration of sending a letter to the San Francisco Unified School District with Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board's comments regarding the plans for disposition of 170 Fell Street and 135 Van Ness Avenue.

                              i          Suggested using/resending the letter sent to the San Francisco Unified School District dated December 2001.
                              i          Letter should urge the Board of Education and the School District to be certain that the historic status, as well as physical condition allocated for the building(s) is fully disclosed.
                              i          Board Member Pearlman moved (seconded by Kotas) to draft a letter and send to the School District. The vote was passed +7-1
                                        (Kelley voted no).

                              100 JOHN F. KENNEDY DRIVE, Conservatory of Flowers, Landmark No. 50, west of Stanyan Street. A portion of Assessor's Block 1700. The Conservatory of Flowers is a wood, iron frame, and glass Victorian Gothic Italianate conservatory building, built in 1878-79. The property is listed in the City's 1976 Architectural Survey, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a California State Landmark, and is zoned in a P (Public) District, an OS Height and Bulk District, and the Coastal Special Use District. An informational presentation to report to the Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board on the progress of the ongoing rehabilitation and restoration of the Conservatory of Flowers, consistent with the testing methods approved under Certificate of Appropriateness 1999.591A. Rehabilitation includes replacing portions of the wooden building frame, as well as glass panels. Restoration of the west wing is complete and work is underway on the east wing. The final phase will be the dome, with work scheduled for this summer.

                              1125 HAYES STREET, south side between Pierce and Scott Streets, Assessor's Block 824, Lot 1H. The subject property is a Spanish Colonial Revival-style single-family home, constructed in 1930 and is contributory to the Alamo Square Historic District. It is zoned within an RM-2 (Mixed Residential, Moderate Density) District and is in a 40-X Height and Bulk District. Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install 24 photovoltaic panels and one thermal solar panel on the roof.

The subject property is zoned RH-3 (House, Three-Family) District and is in a 40-X Height and Bulk District. Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to add a small basement window and move a first-floor window on the front façade.
                              Preliminary Recommendation: Approval
