A. PUBLIC COMMENT
At this time, members of the public may address the Commission on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission. Each member of the public may address the Commission for up to three minutes.
B. EXECUTIVE SESSION
1. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE DISMISSAL/RETENTION: PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT/HIRING DIRECTOR OF PLANNING - The Planning Commission will meet in closed session pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.10(b) and Government Code Section 54957(b)(1) to review resumes of candidates for the position of Director of Planning and to consider and take possible action on whether to retain or dismiss the Director, whether to include the current Director's name among the candidates for the position of Director, and whether to nominate and forward to the Mayor a list of candidates for appointment to the position of Director.
At the conclusion of the closed session, and pursuant to Section 67.14(a) of the San Francisco Administrative Code, the Commission will reconvene in open session and shall by motion and vote elect to:
ACTION: The Commission voted to not disclose information from the Closed Session.

At its Special Meeting on October 7, 2004, the San Francisco Planning Commission voted to take the following actions:
(1) Accept the resignation of Planning Director Gerald Green, effective November 1, 2004.
AYES: Antonini, Hughes, S. Lee, W. Lee, Olague
NAYES: Bradford Bell
(2) Direct staff to prepare a letter to the Mayor commending Director Green for his years of service, and recommending and endorsing him for an appropriate position in City government.

(3) Forward to the Mayor a candidate or candidates for Interim Planning Director.
